This was the case with my application. My background only changed once to IP1 (We are processing your background...) until I got PPR. No NA or IP2. It made me extra anxious but I guess officers really process cases differently - some are diligent to update the status, some are not.
Just trust everything is going smoothly. As they say, no news is good news
Just got my GSMC note last week and they said "Review Required". My NOC code seems like mismatching. However, I found something like "Primary Occupation NOC code" which I not submitted for, and the NOC code (0013) I submitted are being reviewed. If there is a case I mismatch NOC code, i would get rejected? Anyone knows? My application has stay NA for like 3 weeks already. I don't know what should I do now.
Hey, based on what I've read here, the wording would differ depending on if you submitted an RCMP check upfront or not (I did not and they never requested for one)
If you submitted, IP1 would be "The next step is to conduct a background check..."
If not, IP1 is "We are processing..."
Regardless, my background status only changed once (when meds got passed) during the whole process.
My status was changing like that before yesterday, then after yesterday, it changed to they need more information from me, but there's no new request. They need to hire a new technician.

Incorrect! Some applicants, CEC for example, will see BGC - "we are processing" for both IP1 and IP2 if you don't submit RCMP record upfront.
Always remember that your BG status display depends on how Agents are updating your file. Some applicants have BG - NA from day one without any change and still get PPR.
if ur background check said we are processing ur background check its IP2 not IP1.[/QU
My BC is same ...does it mean that they just started it (E/C/S)?? Or they were doing it while my Status was NA post IP1..???
Pls do reply
