Question though - I cannot see the same on my ecas. Would it take time to show up there?

AOR is acknowledgment that your application has been received by CIC.

I sent my complete application for Citizenship by Canada Post on 24th May. To date, I have not heard anything at all. Nothing about application received, AOR (Don't even know what that means!) in email/mail.

No. you should not worry about it. It takes almost 40 days to receive AOR. Check the sheet for more detail.
