Hi guys, I just got email back saying that my application is being processed at CPC Ottawa, what does this mean? Does it mean my application has passed R10? I am CEC inland. Thanks

I sent an email to CPC Ottawa yesterday asking for UCI number and visa office details, and this morning I received the email from them informing me that my file is at CIO Sydney, Nova Scotia!

Like what do I make of it? I am about to complete 90 days mark post AOR, and my file is still at CIO??

Here's my timeline :

AOR Jan 18th
Medical passed Feb 16th
Additional Document - Received and uploaded
BG NN > NS > Not Applicable (since Feb end)

it means your file hasn't been transferred to LVO...try ordering GCMS notes

Hi Everyone,

My wife and I were surprised to know that our application is sat with CIO Sydney, Nova Scotia. We live in Singapore so this came as quite a shock, more so because another applicant with similar timelines (received AOR two weeks before we did) had her application processed out of Singapore and has received her COPR.

I guess this came as a shock as we are not aware of what's happening 'under the hood'.

Does anyone know if this is the initial stage and that our applications eventually get routed through to our local visa offices?

Hi, that happened to me. :'(

My file has been moved from CPC Sydney to CIO Sydney. ( It's working vice versa to many of the people's assumptions - I know it's case to case though Cheesy )

March 1st ( before medicals passed) - CPC Sydney

March 10th ( After medicals, BG IP(1) ) - CPC Sydney

March 27th (BG IP (1) ) - CIO Sydney.

Anyone has the same experience i.e. moving from CPC to CIO ?( I just know one another guy )

Hi friends. I learnt from the thread that some applications are being processed at CIO Sydney. Has anyone gotten PPR or any useful updates yet? My application is also at CIO according to the mail I got from CIC. FSW Outland AOR November 2016. Application cancelled and reopened March 31st 2016

CEC Inland ( with one dependant) : AOR Feb 12th.

March 1st ( before medicals passed) - CPC Sydney

March 10th ( After medicals, BG IP(1) ) - CPC Sydney

March 27th (BG IP (1) ) - CIO Sydney.

April 24th - BG = Not applicable ;D

Sent email on April 25th and got the reply as file is in CPC-Ottawa. 8)

Anyone stuck at "Your application is in process. We will send you a message when we start your background check" for 40+ days. Mine stuck there since May 13. I called CIC and the agent told me that they don't even look into it yet. By the way,I already passed medical on May 13

Hey, I passed medicals on June 30 and since them i am stuck at IP1. MY BG Status says "Your application is in process. We will send you a message when we start your background check". Also i received an email from CIC confirming that my file is at CIO Sydney, Nova Scotia.

I'm still stuck at "Your application is in process. We will send you a message when we start your background check" since May 13rd. If you are also CEC, I guess you will need to wait for at least 1.5 months more.

CPC Ottawa and CPC Nova Scotia, Sydney are two seperate visa offices, right? While we are required to send it to CIO, NS first, some may be processed at Syndney whereas others are routed to Ottawa. Am I correct in my understanding? Some of you show Ottawa in your status saying Nova Scotia as your processing office. Can you confirm? I have heard Syndey is slow, but not the same for Ottawa. What has been your experience?

I can confirm that SYDNEY NOVA SCOTIA IS damn slow! I am March 1 aor and my file is still in Nova Scotia till now, I will clock 5months on Monday.

Could it be that any slightly complicated applications are sent to Sydney? FOr me I added Wife after AOR and she has since been added and UCI generated.

Any progress on your file??
