If i am not mistake, IP2 is to check you criminal records. SO they should check PCC, and check with other authorities, if there have been adverse reports against you or not.

I would say this is rather an assumption, IP2 is rather a review/approval by CIC the results of Background check.

Hi @andy108 ! Can you elaborate when you say review and approval, as i was thinking that it (IP 2) is the eligibility check. By what you are saying it means that it is sort of a second check, and everything including eligibility is determined at IP 1 only? please reply, its important to know.

In conclusion IP 2 is approval of IP 1 i.e just a second check to ensure quality of IP 1 sort of?

AOR- 4th Apr, Med-7th June, IP1-7th June, NA-12th June, RPRF Request-15th June
I had uploaded RPRF on 15th, this was updated on 16th June. The BGC update was on 17th June - Is this IP2?

I would suggest you go through a few pages, these have been explained fairly well.

IP1 and IP2 relate to Background checks
RPRF is fees, which you may or may not have paid while submitting your docs.

I'm CEC-inland. My visa office is CIO Sydney NS now. My background status stuck at there for almost 40 days now. Is it normal? I've seen people change from Back ground not start to NA to started in 2-3 weeks only. Anybody has any idea what is going on with my application? I heard that Sydney NS office is slow. But this slow is very irritating to me.

It may take up to 7 weeks. So try to wait a bit more for it.

That's the status you get before your medicals pass. Don't worry. It will go away in a day or 2.
