I remember you saying that you are applying from US. Can you please tell me which courier did you use to get the Passport back and how many days did it take for them to send .. I checked with Fedex yesterday but they are saying, we can not give return shipping label with more than 5 days validity

Actually I used FEDEX. They helped me create an account on their website and link it to my payment method. They will send it and it will arrive there the next day. They will also put in the 1st envelop the return envelop with the return label. The whole thing took about 5 working days ( not including one weekend).
UPS cannot do return envelop from Canada.

They got back to me in 5 business days.

We have used UPS to send the passports. They have this service available and it is less expensive. You should just find a good UPS store with somebody who knows what to do because first we went to Fedex and they couldn`t help us at all.
It`s up to you but both have this service.

Usally the medical expiry date will be the visa Expiry date which ultimately will be the deadline to enter canada

Then how long are usually the medical reports valid for?
And I guess that medicals are usually requested in the middle of the process that is somewhere around 6-7 months of time period. Right?

The medical report is valid for 12 months. In my case, they requested it 3 days after the AOR. But it varies a lot, other people get the request for medicals in the middle of the process.
