PCC - Probably not,
Medicals - Yes, valid
You didnt have to submit request for a new passport, just an LoE or an affidavit would have sufficed according to me
Dear All,
I have some questions on Express Entry.
1) Can we create a profile for Express Entry if we have ECA done or wait until we get IELTS Score? I am yet to write for IELTS and before that if I have my ECA done, can I create an Express Entry profile update my profile withe IELTS Score later when I get the score? Or is it mandatory to have both ECA done and IELTS Score at the time of creating a profile?
2) We have sufficient funds for both me and my wife. I will be the principal (primary) applicant and my wife would be dependent. When I apply for Express Entry, is IELTS mandatory for spouse? Is it ok if I being the principal applicant take the IELTS? My wife is educated upto post graduate level but if it not mandatory for spouse, then she can skip IELTS
3) I would like to move to Canada (after getting the PR/Visa) and once I settled with job and housing, I want to apply dependent visa for my spouse. In this case, if I mention in the Express Entry profile that I am married but my wife is not coming to Canada along with me, will be considered as misrepresentation at a later stage when I apply for dependent visa for my spouse?
4) Or if I want to take my wife to Canada along with me, at the time time of creating a profile in Express Entry, if I mention that my wife is also accompanying with me, does she require to take IELTS?
5) I guess when we are in Express Entry pool and apply for jobs (as skilled worker) through job bank and receive offer from a Canadian Employer, the Employer should apply to LMIA, I would like to know after moving to Canada (i.e., after getting the PE visa though Express Entry) does the Employer still needs to apply for LMIA or is it applicable only when the candidate in Express Entry pool.
6) I do not want my current employer know that I am applying for Express Entry. In this case, under work experience, is it ok if I mention all my previous employment details and skip mentioning the current job/employer details? I do not want to misrepresent anything but if I mention about current employer in my Express Entry profile, that may go for background check with my current employer who may come to know about my Express Entry plans. I would like to inform my current employer at the time resignation that I got PR Visa for Canada as reason for leaving the firm but do not want my current current employer know in advance.
7) Currently we don't have kids and when we create a profile in Express Entry, we mention that only only dependent (spouse) and no kids. As this Express Entry process takes minimum of six months, after getting the PR Visa for me as a principal applicant, if my wife delivers a baby boy or girl for whom I need to apply a dependent visa at a later stage, will that becomes misrepresentation of information since I mention I have no kids at the time of creating Express Entry profile?
I would greatly appreciate if anyone could advise on the above points. Thank you.

Yes, it is. You need both to enter the pool.

It is not mandatory but adds points to your overall score.

No it wont. However, you will still need to submit her PCC, Medicals and include her in your POF. So if you have good CRS points it is better to include her in the application.
4) Or if I want to take my wife to Canada along with me, at the time time of creating a profile in Express Entry, if I mention that my wife is also accompanying with me, does she require to take IELTS?
No.

No

You don't need to mention your current employer in the EE profile if you are not claiming points for this experience. You can mention it in your personal history (post-ITA), no evidence is required here.
7) Currently we don't have kids and when we create a profile in Express Entry, we mention that only only dependent (spouse) and no kids. It is not misrepresentation, but if she is pregnant you must inform the doctor during your medicals.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone could advise on the above points. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply bro..In proof of studies doc, what should I upload? for myself, Certificates and transcripts..and same doc for my wife too, right?
But in document requirement sections it has also been mentioned----
Where an ECA has been obtained, the applicant must provide the ECA reference number in their e-APR for online validation directly from the issuing organization.
- A scanned copy of the ECA is not required when submitting the e-APR but may be requested by IRCC at a later date.
- Applicants are instructed to indicate that their education was completed by correspondence by typing in brackets {by correspondence} on the same line as the education institution name found in the Education Background Information tab of GCMS. The discretion remains with the officer to decide if a police certificate is required for the country of the education institution
I don't understand the second requirement..where should i type {by correspondence}? what is Education Background Information tab of GCMS? is it the e-APR itself?
Thank u
mrzbd
Hi,
1)You should submit your Degree certificates, transcripts are not required. The ECA report is also not required as the use the reference number to verify. However, it is good practice to submit the following under the educational tab:
Degree Certificates
ECA report
IELTS certificate
2) Do the same for your wife.
3) This request is for those who have distance learning degrees. They are required to write (by correspondence) next to the name of the institution so that the officer knows they were not there physically. If you dont do this you may be rejected for not having PCC from that country.
4)Educational Background Information tab of GCMS just refers to the education section of your eAPR.
All the best

Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum, and i am glad to see so many professionals trying to help each other:
Now, i have done some due diligence myself about the points i could obtain for my profile under FSW (About 450 now), but i have one major concern in the process w.r.t documentation for my work experience letter-
--> Prior to my graduate studies, i worked at a global firm like Accenture as Software Engineering Analyst for over 2 years, and i do have the relieving letter, tax slips, pay stubs etc to prove it. However, the relieving letter that Accenture provides is not in the exact format that CIC expects - Job description etc, but only has my name, designation, start and end date in a official letter head. I understand that this is a typical problem that many qualified professionals are facing due to the specific nature of the work experience letter that CIC requires, but most global companies give the specific format that they use for employees globally.
I am sure this is a common issue, but i would like to know from people here, has anyone submitted a relieving letter like this and been able to convince the visa officer when the issue was raised or is there any work around for this? I can't wait to work elsewhere now for another 12 months just to meet the work-ex criteria and then try to get a letter that suits CIC's format (At which point, the whole system might have changed a lot anyway).
Your inputs would be profoundly helpful for me to plan ahead! Thanks a ton!!

You have to wait for your certificate, because you will be asked to provide some details that are on it.

Thankyou..
I have a six moths old reference letter from my company without working hours and salary details, Is that ok? Whether my spouse also should get a reference letter?
Hi all,
I have a few questions regarding filling the application for express entry - you all's help is much appreciated
1) MBA - majors ( in the application) - my mba is in finance - which option to be selected - - --------------------- business, management, marketing and other supporting services OR
- others
2) designation as per my company is not the same as mentioned in the noc code - but jobs n duties match - will this be an issue?
3) designation to be mentioned in the profile should be as per my company only - right? As that is what would appear on the referral letter
Thanks and regards
Hi,
1) This is not really a big deal so you can select either business or management. It wont affect your application in any way.
2) No, this is not an issue. The title is of little or no importance is selecting an NOC as titles differ across companies and countries. What is import is that you have performed the action in the lead statement of the NOC and the majority of the listed duties. So if your duties match it, pick it!
3) Yes, it should.
All the best

No, its not ok. They need to know if it was paid and full-time, so get one that states all the required details.

@TanakaM , Its over a year since i left my company now, and their relieving letter does not have the job description/duties (Software Analyst); They don't really cater to individual request of relieving letter in certain specific formats;I however can produce tax slips, pay stubs etc to prove other required details. Is there any work around for this? as this seems to be the major problem i am having with my application now...Thx!
Thanks Tanaka. I have other documents like my offer letter and salary slips, promotion letters etc. That i will upload, but reference letter especially from the current employer is a problem, last thing would want is to jeopardise the current job. Can you please suggest how the colleague affidavit works or I need to have it from my manager only.
Regards
V
To be honest I am not a fan of letters written by colleagues, its too risky (Just my take). I would advise that you do everything in you power to get a letter written by a superior.

what if i submit payslip & offer letter instead?

Hi,
Try ask them for the letter, you never know how they will respond. If they refuse, approach a former superior and ask them to write a notarised letter with the required information. This is a critical part of the application so do the best you can.

All of those are supporting documents (plan B). You must first try to follow the instructions. Anything besides them leaves room for the Officer's discretion.
