Hi There,
I have given IELTS and Documents in progress at WES.
I need help. Is it necessary for my wife to give IELTS and documents attestation.
Can't I only apply for Express entry.
Waiting for your usual support.
Hi,
1) It is optional for your spouse to take the IELTS test and have an ECA done, however, it contributes a total of 40 points to your score.
2) You have the option of applying with a non accompanying spouse, however, it may take time for you to be able to sponsor her once you are in Canada. Furthermore, you will still be required to include her in your funds, present her passport, do her medicals and police clearance.
All the best
Not so good news for my application. After waiting for 4 months, got a message that we are not eligible for express entry and asked to check the attachment for more details. But the attachment is blank, anyone else experienced the same before? What should I do now, how can I know the reason for rejection and also is there any use if I re-apply?
Hi,
So sorry about your application.
The message should not be blank, it must be a technical fault. You can raise a CSE asking for the letter to be resent, and you should also order GCMS notes before re-applying. These will give you detailed information on how your case was handled.
All the best
Dear Seniors,
Ill be providing the following as proof of employment. please be kind enough to advice if anything else is required.
1. Reference letter from HR: Includes everything except for Supervisor Details and Number of hours per week as it is against company policy. However, they have mentioned that I am a Full-time Permanent Employee.
2. Salary Confirmation letter
3. Six months salary slips
4. A reference letter from a colleague: stating my number of hours per week and my supervisor's details. this will be signed only by my colleague.
Do I have to get a letter from my Supervisor as well? I would prefer not to due to obvious reasons.
Further, do I have to provide an LOE or are these documents straight forward enough for the VISA Officer?
Your advice is highly valued. thanks in advance
Hi,
The truth is anything that is not in the exact format allows the Officer to use his own discretion. So although these documents look okay, you would need a good LOE for it.
4) A letter from your supervisor would have been much better that a letter from a colleague. Anyway, make sure you get it notarised to add legal validity.
All the best
Thank you Tanaka for the reply.
I am sorry, can you please guide me how to raise CSE and also about ordering GCMS notes?
Thanks in advance!

Hi - I need to get the reference/ skills certificate from my previous employer, but the HR is asking for manager endorsement. My managers have left the organization, can someone suggest on the options that i have. Can i get a letter from my colleagues whom i have worked in the previous organization? If yes, do i need to get the same notarized? I am currently based out of India and the notary is asking for the presence of my friend who is endorsing the letter?
Can please someone help?
P.S. got the invite to apply, preparing documents for submission.
Regards
V

Hi,
You need PCC for the whole country, not separate states.

If you are going to use this letter it must definitely be notarised. However, there is no guarantee that this letter will be acceptable. What other supporting documents do you have?
I would do everything in my power to get an official letter, even if it means hunting down my old manager.

A CSE is raised through your AOR. There is a link there.
For GCMS notes follow this link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp. They can only be requested by a Cnadian Citizen or PR holder.

Hi Guys,
Did you have to upload your IELTS or CELPIP results once you received an ITA?
I always thought I have to upload one, but on my document checklist it doesn't mention anything about it.

Hi,
They dont need the actual certificate as they check using the certificate number. However, it is good practice to upload it together with your degree certificates and ECA.

Can someone help me to understand how CIC calculates Express Entry CRS score for age? I was checking age chart on CIC site and if someone is 29 years 11 months old then it should be considered as 29 years or 30 years?

If you are 29yrs 11 months on the day you get an ITA you are 29. Even if it's a day before your birthday.
