The last draw was on the 4th of May. You may want to find out if you received a letter of interest from Ontario or if it's truly an ITA.
Whatever the situation is, you need access to your account. You can't create another one when you already have an active profile.
Thank you so much

Hi and welcome,

For information you need after getting an ITA I recommend you read this post and thread by Stanlee:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/ready-reference-steps-to-follow-and-documents-to-arrange-post-ita.455826/
It's very informative and will get you going. Then if you have specific question we are all ready to help as we have gone or are going through the same process.

"The firm has refused to give me any information on my previous profile, they just ask me to open an account and continue my processing."

You will need access to your profile for you to proceed. It is impossible to just create a new one as the stages are linked.

Regards
Thank you so much

Thank you for this information. I have requested the firm send evidence of my ITA which they did. They also told me i only need imput my details in my newly open CIC account and i can link my 2 profiles. I already created an account in CIC using a "GC-Key" - whatever-that means. My question is, i did not see anywhere on the platform that ask me to link my account with my profile which i believe will solve my problem and help me kick start my application process. Or am i on the wrong page?
The firm claim they cannot release any more information than that because they have other people profile on the platform they are using since they used their authorized representative portal for my application along with other candidates.
So my 2 main questions are
1. am i on the right CIC page where i should be able to link my CIC account with my previously existing profile? If not how do I get to a platform where i can enter my details/biodata and my profile can be pulled up?
2. How do ine commence the process of PR application.
Sorry if my questions sound dumb but i am very "green" here

Thanks

Dear Forum Members,

I would appreciate your thoughts about my situation

I currently have an ITA and was going to apply under FSW Outland. However I am about to receive a post doctoral offer (which falls under LMIA exempt category) for one year in Canada. I was thinking I could get there and apply for PR and was hoping to avoid the use of proof of funds by using postdoc offer to apply for PR. However, since I cannot apply for PR and work permit at the same time as I may have to travel soon; I will have to apply for work permit first and apply for PR in Canada.

My question is from the cic website it seems that LMIA exempt work permit holders can only consider the jobs as valid if

you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:

  • are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
  • have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer and
  • have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa.

Does this mean I cannot use my Post doctoral position to apply for PR?

Alternatively can I still apply when I apply as Federal Skill worker Inland using the proof of funds I would have used to apply for PR while out of Canada?

Or is it better to work for a year for a year and then apply under CEC category?

Thank you so much for your valuable inputs…

Hey Guys,

The latest draw that came out today is 413, and my score is 458 (applied on 26th May 2017) - however I have not received any email or notification in my account. What could have possibly gone wrong? :(

Guys please reply, some one...

For education. Do you need to upload WES document and degree certificate or just WES document? If degree is not in English do you need to get it translated?

Hi,

I'm new here. Not sure as well if this has been asked. I've just activated my Express Entry profile and registered to the Job Bank... I do not yet have a job offer...

Just a bit confused on the process..Should I get a valid job offer, I understand that I'd get additional 50 points... I think I'll need to update my EE acount to include that job offer, right?

With that job offer do I expect to get an ITA and not need a work permit? Or will I have to fly into Canada to get employed and my employer will apply for a work permit for me while waiting for my EE to get an ITA?

Hello guys, there is a limit of entries on the travel history? Didn't started filling it, but got more than 100.

Thanks!

Hi all,

I received ITA in the current CIC draw as my score was 413.

I have a query - My IELTS score will be expiring in December 7, 2017, so i have the score valid for the next 6 months. Once I accept the ITA will my IELTS score freeze while CIC processes my application for PR (as processing might take more than 6 months and my IELTS score will than be invalid)

or

do i need to appear for IELTS test again so as to maintain my CIC score.

Please advise.

There is no need to take IELTS again, your CRS is fixed based on information provided in your profile. You will be evaluated w.r.t your score on 31 May 2017. So change in CRS due to age, or IELTS expiry after ITA will not affect your score now...

Had it been the case that your IELTS expired a day before ITA then you may have to decline and re-write the IELTS...
