I've recently started on the process and have completed the IELTS test and also received the scorecard. I'm now trying to figure out my way through the ECA process. While on the cic website i did find and go through the list of ECA bodies and visited their websites and the list of documents, its still not crystal clear as to exactly what they need from the institutes, especially, when they mention they need academic record/transcript/statement of marks!! dont academic record and statement of marks mean the same thing? also, by transcript, do they mean a year-wise list of subjects and topics covered?
some help would be really really great as I've been stuck and have been looking around for this info for sometime and have already lost a couple of weeks!
Hi guys,
Currently uploading post ITA documents. The system has generated a list documents, however I don't know where to include my IELTS report. Will it go to Education field ?
Please help.
Thank you!
absolutely. it doesnt matter if you are working currently or not. as long as you have 3+ years of relevant experience in the last 10 years, you are absolutely fine
i can say that becoz i was jobless when i started the process Nothing like losing your job to help focus on other more important things ha ha

Well just goto WES website, enter your institutes name - it will give a list of all documents reqiured for assessment.
usually what they need is :
degree certificate
consolidated marks memo
individual marks memo yearwise
if you are in india, you can enlist agents help to get ECA assessment done - thats what i did also. 2 ones i can vouch for are allindiatranscripts and cleartranscripts. they are a little expensive but they take care of everything .
Hello,
There was a seasonal job, more like a part time job that I did in the past. I got an employment letter and an ID card, but I didn't work at all as dates given me kept clashing with my classes, and my appointment was terminated. Is it necessary to include this job in the personal history section pls?
Hi, I have a query. Me and my wife, We have a Delhi Police PCC instead of a PCC from PSK as we have lived in Delhi through out our lives. I hope its valid? In how many days is a PCC issued from PSK? Should we get it just in case?
Hi everyone.
First time on here so please bare with me.
In the last few months I paid a company to submit my paper work to CIC as I'm not the best with technology. As it stands, I'm currently sat in the express entry pool with 278 CRS points. I qualify under the federal trades program and I'm aware that on Friday there was a draw and my program came under this.
My question is:-
If I have received an email off CIC via my agent saying "congratulations you're now a candidate in the express entry pool" is that me officially in the system?.
I got told I had to register with job bank and I did everything that was asked but after this I've not heard off my agent and I'm desperate to know if I'm sat on an ITA. Obviously it's the bank holiday and I'm really impatient because I can't log on to the website because my agent is the one that sorts all this out.
If anyone can help I would massively appreciate it.
you are only part of the pool, i dont think you got an ITA
i'm not sure however how the federal trades program works - i think it would be best if you start a new thread and wait for someone to reply to your specific query.
PS - Agent sounds not good, hope you didnt pay him anything

Thanks thestunner316. I was very much worried about this.
My IELTS score is only 7. Thus, because of my age, my points are going below 380.
My spouse IELTS score is 8 (We have booked IELTS again as our IELTS is going to expire this month. In addition, she is trying to get 8.5 - 9 by putting lot of efforts to achieve it).
If I apply my spouse as primary applicant, the score range is going beyond 420.
But she is not working presently. We have booked IELTS exam and started processing visa on our own.
Suddenly, we got buzz/information from my friend (who is working for AUZ consultant) that primary applicant should be working will be considered for PR. .
Now I think after seeing your comments that is not applicable for Canada. Saying by our self, Hard work always pays off and stepping ahead to process our Canada PR visa process by applying my spouse as primary applicant.
Again, thanks thestunnder316 scaling our confidence level up
i'm not 100% sure, but if i remember correctly post AOR if you add spouse score isnt recalculated.
however you need to get medicals, PCC done for the spouse and show extra funds in PoF. Which will delay application anyway....

remember CRS score on IELTS is not calculated on overall IELTS band, its calculated individually.
Fo ex : To get CLB 9 (which is an excellent score ) you need 8, 7, 7, 7 in listening reading writing speaking respectively. Anything lower in any of these bands will result in low overall CRS score
to get CLB10 (Highest possible ) you need 8.5, 8, 7.5,7.5 in listening reading writing speaking.
