Studying Social Support Program After Master's Program Without Applying for PGWP

Hi,

I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Science in Canada and will be graduating this year.

Can I enroll in another Social Support Worker program without applying for a PGWP and continue studying under my current study permit? My existing study permit is valid until 2027.

Can I apply PGWP after two programs?

I am considering applying for Express Entry under the Health Occupations category, where social support-related programs are included.

Your study permit is no longer valid 90 days after you finish your program. You need a new study permit and maybe PAL if changing DLI. Can you justify program with higher pay and career advancement being better than a Masters. Do you have work experience because you would lose a possible 3 year PGWP vs. one year PGWP. So how are you eligible for health occupations category with even having experience in the field? You aren’t so risking with a program where permit may not even be approved, losing 3 year PGWP and expecting healthcare NOCs not to change in the next couple of years.

Agree how will a study permit get approved when it is clear this makes no sense other than you think this a pathway to secure PR. Would add that there is going to be so many people attempting the same thing. Your best option is likely to get the 3 year PGWP, try to find a good job and learn French.
