Still Background check in progress and did everything I can do but still no update

any idea how long the Background check would it take?

I asked for CSIS notes as well but also received a generic response with no actual details. I wish you all the best.

I applied in October 2023 as well. still waiting for prohibitions.
I applied separately for my wife in March 2024 and she got everything completed by August.

I called IRCC multiple times, sent a request for GCMS notes, and reached out to my MP office.

What is Mandamus please? I'm not familiar with it.

I logged in today and I saw the updated date showing today's date, but no actual update on the portal. I called IRCC and they also said there is no update on my file.

The last date it was showing was back in July 2024. I'm just waiting on my security check and prohibitions.

What could this mean?

What could this mean?

It's probably your criminality that got expired after 1 year and passed again. The same happened to me last month, I submitted my application in Sep 2023.
