LMIA - closed work permit - flagpoling

Hello everyone,

I have applied to my LMIA and I am waiting for the decision. I am currently staying in Canada with a visitors record.
My travel authorization document is also expired. Once I get my LMIA approved, can I get my work permit through flagpoling with just my visitors record or do we need to have visitors visa(travel authorization) as well.

Ask an immigration lawyer because according to rules of flagpoling you are not eligible without a valid TRV. VR just lets you remain in Canada.
