I got email invitation today for in-person Oath Ceremony Next week on Friday October 18th. However the location is set for Scarborough Ontario, even though we applied from BC. Anyone has a similar case? Is it possible/advisable to request a change of the Ceremony Location?

You will need to contact the email listed in contact us in pdf. Sounds like an administrative error. Your address on file with ircc is in BC, correct?

Yes we lived in Ontario from 2018 when we arrived to Canada until 2020. We moved to BC in 2021

I used to live in Ontario until 2020 and then moved to BC. The address in the Citizenship application is our current address in Victoria, BC

Hello There, could someone please help me with the contact number that I need to contact IRCC? I need understand the status of my citizenship application.

Application submitted early June, test completed. LPP pending. No updates since test results were updated on 30 Aug. Also wanted to understand what level information does the IRCC agent have on file to guide us?

How much time is NGF office taking after oath to send the e-certificate? My wife will need to fly in and fly out for oath and she wants to be in Canada for no more than 6 days for oath and passport

Thanks for your answer. I can try to get it re-scheduled/relocate it but I have read so many stories of process delayed for months after requesting changes….

FP received on Oct 6, BG updated as completed on Oct 7, tracker shows changes on Oct 9. PP and prohibitions still in progress.

check the comment below. They called ircc line and rescheduled without much delay. In this case it seems the mistake/reschedule request is not yours so hopefully it's quick. They might send an email to the office to transfer file back to office in your location.

Citizenship oath ceremony rescheduled to 10/18, in-person.

I had to call ircc line and talk with an agent to get it rescheduled. All done during the call, new invitation emails received in the afternoon.

My oath was completed yesterday morning, still waiting for the certificate

@Sayantan86: I could not quote your post in this response.
I took Oath yesterday as well (SCR office) and I received an email this morning with instructions to download the e-cert. I was successful in downloading the electronic citizenship certificate.
Some had received this email even before the Oath ceremony. If you are in that boat, then you can try them out. I don't think there will be another email sent out.

Hi,

How many days did it take from the day you gave your fingerprints to the date ircc updating status.

I sent fingerprints on September 19th and still waiting for bg complete.
