How to check the permit details ? I received my bvl an hour back

The permit details won’t be available until it states the application is approved.

Congrats!!! I agree. You should go ahead and apply, her permit should expire the same time as ur current SP so she will still have some time to continue working.. then you can apply for hers after.. she should get that same 180 day EXT letter to continue working..

Only in cases where the spouse is not in Canada from what I recall. Or where the Teer isn’t 0,1,2, or 3. If you can, Maybe wait until Friday to see if it comes by then, otherwise u will have to go ahead until hers is approved.

Have you received the correspondence letter (CL)? if yes, this reply of IRCC was before or after receiving CL?

I have not received any CL. In the system it says:
Background check in progress.
Eligibility has not started yet.

Hi everyone, I'm in a tough situation and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to do.

On the 3rd of August 2024, I applied for a Study Permit Extension. On the 25th of September 2024, I received a message from IRCC saying that my application was withdrawn due to my DLI failing to verify my LOA within the specified time period.

I have since then confirmed with my enrollment advisors at my university that they did in fact receive the verification request from IRCC on the 8th of August, and that they promptly sent back a confirmation of verification of my letter of enrollment, confirming that I am a student and confirming the validity of my enrolment letter. They confirmed that they performed all of these actions within the specified time period, and have provided me with a supporting letter to show it.

I submitted this letter using the IRCC webform to my withdrawn application, and then called up IRCC and asked to begin the reconsideration process on my withdrawn application. Since I've heard that the reconsideration process is often inconsistent and unpredictable, I also submitted a new study permit extension application from scratch, with a letter of explanation explaining my circumstances.

The problem now is, if the reconsideration process bears no fruit, then all I have left is to rely on the new study permit extension application. However, if my university says that they did in fact verify everything on time, but IRCC STILL sent me that withdrawal letter, what is stopping this from happening again to my new application 2 months down the line? How do I ensure that for my new application, that this does not happen? I can easily reach out to my university to confirm that they have received IRCCs validation request and validated my status on time, but I can't think of a SINGLE way to ensure that IRCC has received my university's verification, since the operators at 1-888-242-2100 don't have access to the behind the scenes information. Any thoughts?

I’m not sure there is anything you can do from your end.. I would maybe suggest uploading the letter of support to the new study permit extension application as well which might be used as additional evidence to show you are enrolled.
I can’t think of anything else otherwise..

In my new study permit extension application I included the letter of support along with the letter of explanation explaining my circumstances, so i've got that base covered.

As for next steps, i'm planning to contact my nearby MP office to follow up on the status of the reconsideration for my withdrawn application, because i've heard that helps move things along sometimes.

If the reconsideration on the withdrawn application doesn't work though... Then i'm basically back to square 1.

Those of you who got the extension approved, did you receive an additional 90 days on top of the date mentioned in your enrollment letter?

If you did, did you request it, or did the VO give it voluntarily?

As for next steps, i'm planning to contact my nearby MP office to follow up on the status of the reconsideration for my withdrawn application, because i've heard that helps move things along sometimes.

If the reconsideration on the withdrawn application doesn't work though... Then i'm basically back to square 1.

I think, it would be worthy to make an appointment with a lawyer consultant to have a clear scenario, you don’t necessarily have to hire a lawyer but make a consultation. That’s my advice
