GCMS shows 'Security Screening' and waiting... - let's gather here!

Application stuck since Oct 2023 on Comprehensive Security check. I see there is a ghost update (application updated) on 28th August 2024 but I don't see any thing on the tracker. Any one have an idea regarding this?

Yes, I noticed exactly the same (application updated) on my GCKey over the weekend. And like you, I have been in SS since October 27, 2023. I have mixed feeling because my Medical also expired on August 31st and so I am not sure if that was the reason my application was updated or whether an agent finally worked on my file. Anyhow, we wait and see. Fingers crossed something good is loading.

It means some agent opened your case, so in all situations it's a good sign for you, maybe your request will go forward.

PR applications that hit on an indicator and/or where an officer suspects that the applicant may be inadmissible should refer the application via a ‘comprehensive check.’

I ordered GCMS notes (Request date on GCMS Notes: 12 August, 2024) and it said the following under NOTES section:

Since there was a hit on my name received, that's why probably my application was referred via a ‘comprehensive check.’

I verified this by checking the following section in GCMS notes called ADMISSIBILITY:

I Got PAL August 2023 and then my profile when to Comprehensive security check and finally got my Portal 1 now.
