I am so sorry for this Robin. Please keep fighting against this decision. You have Canadian born kid and it should be a reason just by itself. Hope you will get positive outcome soon and happy birthday to your kid. Everything will be fine hopefully.
I called ircc today and still no progress on my file, approaching 19 months next week. background (criminality) still in progress, nothing else started, agent can’t see any due dates on file, primary office Vancouver, secondary rroc. I’m just so nervous.. ugh
Reconsideration goes back to the officer and he will decide either to reopen the case and view again or not but federal goes to the court for re determination. I hope this help.
As I know it's not real queue like date by date, number by number.
I know people who applied later then me and have smaller number.
So it's a theory IRCC prioritizing applications somehow and provides with different numbers

Hello team, it feel great to see some positive news coming into this thread as we are all waiting in this dark tunnel and rhese positive news feels like a little light at the end of the tunnel Can you all please share your timelines? To get an idea of how long this will take and what the success rate is:
I submitted my :
- H&C application on February 2024
- biometrics received March 2024
- PRRA submitted July 2024 while H&C is in process.
Any idea when we can expect any response back from PRRA or H&C?
It was reconsideration that we applied for and got pr...what we noticed in the refusal notes was that the officer kept saying he considered every argument but there wasn't enough evidence. What we djd was applied for reconsideration and submitted evidence to support each argument.
Keep praying and hope for this best.
Don't ever give up! God always wins!
