what is the best time or best options to navigate on IVR while calling IRCC? i tried them 100 times and everytime i am thrown out by saying we are busy.

It is a waste of to call them. Just get the GCMS notes

I disagree. You wait a month for the GCMS notes when the call centre agent can pull up your file and tell you exactly what's going on. You just have to ask the right questions and don't expect them to do anything else but read what's on the file.

Then good luck going through their stupid IVR system for a little to none of meaningful information.

Tracker updates come in the morning as a single batch, so nothing changes there.

Oath email (e-cert instruction or invite to in-person ceremony) is sent during the day, typically just around noon or before.

Any idea when to expect oath once everything is complete?

Everything completed on Apr 09, still no update on oath yet. its not even started.

How often do people get called for in person oath? I applied from Ottawa but currently in Alberta for atleast another month or so.

Everything completed on Apr 09, still no update on oath yet. its not even started.

I am hoping we will get our oath updates next week. I think this is also got to do with the ones whose prohibitions were pending. Since a lot of them has been cleared today and some have been getting GU, we can expect something.

Plus our wait time from Oath update to the actual oath might be way lesser.

Depends. Some have waited 4 months after. I got mine on back-to-back days.

Currently looks like a couple of days unless there's a weekend or holiday in between that could add a couple extra days.

There's an hack to calling them even though I find calling is pointless. I called them once during this whole process and never bothered to call even when we were stuck for a while there.

But the hack is to call using dial codes from Regions with little activity e.g. New Brunswick, Yukon etc. You will get through to them on the first try.

OMG. Thats too much of optimism in very few sentences! I will need some time to take that all in..lol
But yeah I hope to get updates soon and get the oath ASAP.

my question:- I have been asked for fingerprints in feb and my test has been already completed
no update on background check yet. Just wondering how long it is taking with folks who been asked for fingerprints ?
should I call RCMP and find out or request some notes from IRCC

My fingerprints took a little under a month:
Fingerprint Sent: February 24th, 2024
Fingerprints Received: March 19th, 2024

Might be a good idea to confirm with RCMP that they have sent them. Which office are you with?
