I just logged just to see and I also got a Ghost Update.
The last time my file was updated was Feb 20, 2024 when I passed the citizenship test
I applied Dec 11, 2023 and My AOR is Jan 2
Processing office Vancouver .

I am in Vancouver too.

Okay, maybe it was actually a glitch

Too many people with varying timelines have reported it. Interestingly only on this thread so maybe a 'good glitch'. Let's wait for the next few days to see what's changing in those applications.

We have to wait until wednesday to find out what's going on

Ordered by AOR dates, that a list of posters with GU updates today. Dont appear to be any commonality outside a few Western Canada applicants - although hard to draw any conclusions without knowing other aspects of individual applications. I suppose we know its not just applicants with Finger Prints who got the updates and they didnt come from historically fast case centers like Mississauga.

Observation: No matter what day the step was completed, status was updated on coming Tuesday. The website link helped me study better for the test than the PDF.

Note: Thank you all for keeping me up to date on what's going on. It has kept me positive and made me think that I will soon be able to get my citizenship. This overthinking was stressful, but it was a good way to pass the time while we were waiting.

Amidst the excitement, it is instructive to remind folks that unlike with temporary residents/PR applications, a ghost update on citizenship applications (going by reading this subforum) doesn't always - in fact almost never - indicate impending status update in processing items.

This subforum is littered with posts of people seeing genuine ghost update who did not see any actual update in their applications in the weeks or months following. We should be excited but also cautious about expecting any updates 'next week', maybe even next month.

This post is for me as it is for the rest of youse. Have a lovely long weekend everyone.
