I called them, they said urgent processing menas processing time would be shorter than 17 months, opposed to normal processing time which is 17 months now!
It all depends on the officer handling your case and whether they deem it as urgent. Send the same email with proof to your processing office. I have seen urgent requests get processed quickly while others take forever.
Follow up by calling once a week.

It’s has been one year and a month since I applied for my citizenship. All completed except for my physical presence and prohibition. I did my interview in July. My background check got completed just a week ago then language skills two days after. I was a refuge then became pr. I just lost my grandmother after losing my dad back in 2015 I know I can’t go back to my home country but I want to see my mother and siblings in a different country. I don’t have a passport or a travel document to travel with . I just requested an urgent processing to get my certificate and obtain a passport. How long does it usually take to get a response From them ?
