Hope to get it. The ticket is super expensive without any refunds. I contacted Vancouver Consulate and no response for few days and then i received a reply saying 'there is no way to make OCI applications faster'. So you will have to wait. This was back on Oct 20th.

If you totally want to avoid flight changes, why not apply for entry visa to be on the safe side? Vancouver OCI processing has slowed down a bit and who knows what happens by end of the month. Those who follow Vancouver timeline closely may have more to say.

I applied my OCI from BLS Surrey on Oct 10, 2023. Date of Acknowledgment on website is Oct 14, 2023. Mission - Vancouver. Current status - Under Process as of Nov 9, 2023. I have a flight booked for India on December 11th. not sure if i can get my OCI before that

I will say apply for entry visa as well. Vanc OCI process is quite slow. Entry visa is getting accepted way faster, with courier time, it takes about 8-10 days (that is mainly because of dispatch delays on BLS side.. Consulate approving within a day)
