Well, its not really shipped, only label is created, but still.. BLS picking up passport on a Saturday from the consulate is first time in my experience.
The whole thing is nonsense isn't it. Why do they need a smudged out thumbprint of infants -- I read somewhere that the ridge spacing in infant prints could be as small as 100 microns and it collapses very easily on compression -- one would need a high-res non-contact process to capture that.
As they did with biometrics, they should exclude at least kids under 5 from this requirement.

Does anyone has experience going to Consulate directly for emergency Visa in the past or recently. How it works what documents do we need. Please reply
Thank you in advance.

Just drove by the Toronto location and spoke to the nice people in line. Back of the line the people had arrived at 7:30am (now 12pm), and they are about 50 people in front of them. BLS only letting 9-10 people in per hour.

Seems like postal service entry visa process is damn slow compare to walk-ins. Sent application via Purolator on Friday Oct 27, it was delivered on Monday Oct 30, acknowledged by BLS on afternoon of Thursday November 2 after 3 days. No update since
