Here is a tracker for entry visa -- Toronto jurisdiction.
Unlike the OCI tracker, I do not have time to micro-mange this one, so its publicly editable. I may do some cleanup from time to time.
A few data points from here are pre-filled, please correct/add your data.
Can someone please tell me for walkin application of entry visa if I can pay processing fee with debit or is it has to be demand draft ?
Also what's the best time to go in Toronto for walkin application without appointment.
Thank you
I have seen enough to project a timeline for entry visa -- Toronto/Brampton walk-in only
DAY0: apply
DAY1: processing at consulate
DAY2: granted
DAY3: printed
DAY4: transit back to BLS
DAY5: courier dispatch by BLS
DAY6: passport with visa delivered at home
All DAY's are consulate working days (except DAY0 could be a Saturday).
Total 6 working days excluding day of application = 8 to 10 calendar days
Postal applications: Not enough data yet. As a rough estimate, add 7 calendar days to the above (BLS is slow in handling incoming mail)
Right now many folks are still holding back from applying for entry visa due to the 45 day misinformation (unlike those who frequent here), but that may change and we can see slowdowns. Already a bit slower than the initial 26/10, 27/10 applicants.
Hey what are the requirements for entry visa ?
I have to go to india to get married in two month from now on .
any suggestion would be appreciated thanks folks
Hi All.. went today for my entry visa appointment at BLS Brampton for a 10 am appointment for my wife and 2 minor kids.. someone scared us in the queue that I had to take 3 appointments to get minor's applications processed instead of being able to use my wife's appointment (eventually it proved to be incorrect as they processed all three applications).. for 10 am appointment we reached at 0945 however the line up was much longer (i.e. a lot of appointments being catered to it seemed).. we reached at the processing desk by 1130 am (my minors surprisingly were quiet), I had everything in order (all documents, in sequence, self attested, signed etc) and by 12.10 pm I was done for all three applications.. BLS lady on the counter was really nice and made is very easy.. now waiting for visas to be issued, fingers crossed

Printout of application form filled online with digital photo uploaded, 1 physical photo (matching the uploaded one), Canadian passport (original), Proof of address (copy), Surrender certificate (copy). Some agents hassle you with wanting to see copy of cancelled Indian passport, so add that to the mix.
Has anyone successfully received an entry visa after submitting both surrender and entry visa applications simultaneously? My children's visas were approved, but my application is still showing as 'under processing.' I submitted my application on November 1st through the Toronto BLS office.
Note: Appointment was at 11am. Arrived and Took token at 10:30am and the wait was 78 :| … BLS AGENTS spending a lot of time on each applications trying really hard to find errors .. asking for docs and copies outside of checklist.. basically extortion/red tape … talk about making money out of people’s misery!
finally was out by 2:30pm… 4hrs of productive time spent here instead at work.

I am originally from Nepal, just received my Canadian passport and my fiancé is from India. Would it be possible to share your thought on this situation?

As Nepal has no dual citizenship, you have to apply using your Canadian passport. Only visa available for you are Business or Conference visa at this moment. Unless I missed something.
