There is no instruction anywhere to put thumb impression of minor in the application form. Both parents need to sign at the end of the form.
I applied for my infant son and did not put thumb impression. BLS accepted my application with no questions asked. getting visa delivered today.

Applied for entry visa for myself and wife at BLS-Ottawa today. They told OCI and entry visa can not be submitted in parallel so i submitted only entry visa.
If you reach before 6 am you will probably be with in first 10-15 on weekdays.
Anyone with entry visa timeline for BLS Ottawa please post.

I wrote “self attested- sign, date” which was accepted during OCI application so assuming will be good for entry visa as well.

That is weird when I called them they didn't said any such thing when I was planning to submit mine.

Makes sense as thumbprint along with photo is for identification while signature on page 2 is for declaration which the minor cannot make with understanding -- hence to be countersigned by parents who are the actual declarants in this case. For attestation I think parents' signature is enough as minor cannot attest, but an extra thumb print can't hurt. And may make BLS happier as you say. They are indeed overly fussy -- educated in India in school of bureaucracy.

True words right there… also never imagined my newborn would ever have to be thumb printed … like there’s barely any finger print at such young age.. also isn’t it like 2023 … phew!

BLS people said 45 days , but someone in line told me his friend got in 5 days, so we just have to wait and see
