Which bls center has oci appointments open?

Both Toronto and Brampton opened up today and slots are still available under Visa and Passport categories for November. Next two weeks are all filed up though. None left for OCI, but many people have reported that the type of appt. does not matter.

Online i got the appointment in BLS winnipeg

In person, if you have an appt. on Monday. Recent times BLS has been very slow in opening postal applications.

@Hemusharma51 - I remember you said your travel date is Nov 17. Are you hopeful if you apply on Monday that you will get the entry visa before Nov 17?

I also booked passport appointment for oci, when is your date booked?

I have taken appointment in Brampton BLS for application type Passport, to submit my OCI, lets see how it goes.

@fshaik I am expecting my OCI status to show as "Processed" on 26th Oct 2023. Just wanted to check with you if BLS allowed you to pick it up from their center (even when you paid for courier). My travel date is Nov 1 and I am hoping they will allow me to pick it up instead of me waiting for courier.

Any particular time of the day I should go to BLS for pickup or any pre-requisite before I go there? You response will be very helpful in understanding the process.

I applied the day restrictions were put in and it still says will take 72 hrs to process. In that Facebook post, I am guessing that is what the person’s status would also show. I think they aren’t reading/interpreting it right.

I am trying my best the only thing that i do not want to submit original passport for application
I am sure that i will get the OCI card before my travel.

Very interetsing if true. I tend to distrust everything I read on facebook (too many trolls). Eager to know what @RuchiWalia or others who applied at that time period say.

But BLS will take your original passport when you go for submitting your ENTRY visa application. what will you do then?

If you get Ack by end of this week, you may be okay for Nov 17, otherwise its very risky to bank on it. I also wonder how fast the OCI card would get from the consulate to BLS Winnipeg once approved. Have you tried to find out entry-visa processing time from the consulate?
