Hello -- I'm planning to immigrate to the United States on H1B visa for a longterm work depuation in the next 2 weeks. I was wondering what process I should be aware of while immigrating to USA. While my citizenship application is in progress at what point I should come back to Canada for the oath ceremony / exam / collecting passport?

I currently hold an Indian passport. What happens to my H1B visa which is stamped on my Indian passport?

Once I receive the Canadian passport, I should renounce my Indian passport. I wonder how my existing stamped H1B visa mapped from an Indian passport to a Canadian passport.

As a Canadian Passport holder, you don't require stamping. You just need to have your H1B documents.

Update: test passed on 10th october. Tracker updated 12th oct. Everything else in progress. Ceremony not started

Checked the tracker this morning. Scheduled for test between Oct. 14 and Nov. 3. Going to do it this weekend.

Have not received test instruction email.

Just got the test invite email and got the tracker updated:

Background Check: October 5
Citizenship Test Invite: October 12 (test window Oct 16 - Nov 5)

Also, not sure if my officer forgot, but it says that Citizenship test has been in progress since Oct 5 but the website didn't update until this morning.
