I called them one morning, put in my number and requested a call back. I prefer that option rather than be waiting on the call for 25-30 minutes. I also asked how comes I applied in April and it’s being processed under June, he mentioned it’s when the officer gets it after vetting the documents. You will see in my signature the lag.
I just received my oath invite for September 27, 6 days from now! I have two issues that I’ve emailed to the email address on the letter but I’m wondering if anyone has had similar issues
1. I have a trip booked October 10-28. During the ceremony you are required to cut up your PR card. I don’t think I would have enough time between oath ceremony and trip to get my e-certificate and get a Canadian passport. The letter states to contact them if you need your PR card for an upcoming trip…
2. My application was submitted using my maiden name (the name on my PR card and current passport). Since getting the PR card, I am now married. I included my marriage certificate with the application and added my new name under the appropriate section. The name on my oath letter is still my maiden name. Is this normal? I’d prefer my married name on e-certificate/passport.

1. Avoid rescheduling if possible. Recheduling can add delays as no one knows when the oath will be rescheduled.
2. You will get everything in maiden name as that is your legal name. You need to change your name legally to have the effect. You can change your name after receiving the passport.

I have always been a lucky guy, but this time around, I found my application being processed in Scarborough and no updates since test was marked complete on Aug 14th
Thanks. Only my AOR document has "Case Processing Center, Sydney, NS" written at the end. I checked right now, no other email has any mention of processing center location. Not even my citizenship test email :/
