I am planning to renew PR card for my spouse, whose card is about to expire in around 6 months. But my spouse is outside Canada and I will be in Canada soon. My spouse may not be back before the card expiry and so I am thinking to renew as a representative. Then carry the card back in my spouse's hands.
So in this case what are my options. In the CIC website, it does not say anywhere that PR card renewal cannot be done outside Canada.
Please suggest.

She can only renew inside Canada. You cannot act as a representative on her behalf.

You can only renew your card in Canada. We don’t send PR cards to non-Canadian addresses and we don’t allow third parties to get them for you.
If you’re outside Canada and don’t have a valid PR card, you need a
permanent resident travel document (PRTD) to return to Canada.

Thanks for the update!
I was thinking me applying from Canada so that there will be a Canadian address to ship. But my spouse will still be in India. The PR card will be given to her when I travel or hand it thru someone else.

She can renew in Canada and then return to India. You cannot renew for her. So you cannot apply for her.
What did you end up doing?
