PR Card timeline - 2023

I have a question for everyone.
My timeline is below
ECOPR: 27 June and I am in Canada and still waiting for my PR Card.

I booked a vacation to Mexico way back from August 3 - 7. I am not sure when will I receive my PR card. Can I go on vacation to Mexico? I cannot apply for PRTD from Mexico as it would not come in 4 days and its not my home country as well.

I have a valid TRV sticker on my passport that expires in 2026. I can show that to airlines and once I am in Canada I can use my ECOPR to show to CBSA or even my work permit. Can anyone help, please?

PS: I have tried to move my dates but the airlines said it cannot be done and I have paid for my hotels as well.

My ECOPR was 22nd June, i'm still waiting for my PR Card to be approved. You can check the status of your PR Card application by linking it to your GCKey if you have not done so already.

The TRV Sticker and work permit becomes invalid once you signed the eCOPR. They won't accept it as they'll still verify the details in the system. The work permit was never a valid travel document, so that wouldn't have worked anyway.

PS: I have tried to move my dates but the airlines said it cannot be done and I have paid for my hotels as well.

I got an update on my PR portal photo review. it's showing (Case status: Closed and accepted
Your case has been accepted and your account will now be closed. After 30 days of inactivity, your account and all information will be removed from this portal. Please download your electronic confirmation of permanent residence (eCoPR) and store it safely for future personal use.
). When i clicked on the "closed and accepted" button photo option is still available for add/edit. Is there anything i have to do it here?

Did you get any update on your case? My Case is also showing the same status now: Closed and accepted and photo option available for add/edit.
eCOPR Date: 16th March.

What @sean468 said is correct, once you are a PR (receiving e-COPR, all other visas are invalid); however, you can call them and ask them about your card status. I think there might still be a possibility that you can have your card before the trip.

If you have a valid US visa, you can use e-COPR and go to Canada by land from the US.

Any update on your PR Card application? I looked at CIC processing time and it says 28 days for PR Card application.(https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...vices/application/check-processing-times.html)

if not then you can call IRCC and ask them for escalation or even raise a query via webform.

28 days for me is on Thursday 20th July, so if there is nothing then I'll be contacting them for an update.

Finally got my PR Card, 44 days after getting eCOPR! VO Etobicoke

eCOPR & application linked to GC Key- June 5th
GU- July 12th
Card mailed- July 13th (39 days processing time)
Card received- July 18th

Hope everyone gets their card soon.

Congratulations. Please where did you see the ghost update? My Pr portal status is showing approved and case closed. How long after this did you get the ghost update

I linked my PR card application to GC Key so was getting updates there. In my GC Key, I saw the GU on July 12th, and my PR Portal still showed status as "In Review with IRCC". On July 13th, I got another update in GC Key that card was mailed, and at the same time, my Portal updated to show "Approved and Closed". So, I think PR Portal shows approved and case closed once IRCC mails your card.

I am troubling to apply for PRTD by using PR portal(online). My country introduced me we have to apply by only online. I can't access to section of PRTD application and this section appear me gray color. I am waiting for 1st PR card. Ecopr is June 15th 2023. Someone knows what's the problem?
