I'm currently working in the US and applied for Canadian Tourist Visa. Due to some emergency, I had to go to India for 2 months and couldn't submit my biometrics in time. Due to this reason, I got a rejection mail. My question was does this affect my future tourist visa application?

No but you must state the refusal in your new application.
