work while waiting for PGWP

Hi I applied for PGWP and received a letter from IRCC stating that "you are authorized to work for any employer, in any occupation with no restriction on hours until
September 15, 2023 or until a decision is made on your application, whichever is first".
So I'm wondering what if my PGWP is still not approved after September 15? Is there any way to extend this time so I can continue working while waiting for PGWP?
