Canada PR Soft landing. Getting SIN and opening bank account?

Hello folks,

I am planning my soft landing soft landing from USA to Canada on my EE FSW COPR. I want to get two things done after my immigration.

1. Get SIN: People suggested that there is a SIN Service Center in Toronto Pearson International Airport. But the service center website does not seem to have details on which terminal this office is and if I need appointment. Has anyone recently visited and got SIN? Please share your expierence.

2. Open bank account: Which bank is good? Do I need to have some minimum deposit?

2) There is no minimum deposit. Although some banks (such as CIBC) charge fee if you don't meet their requirement to waive them.

Thank you reply. Is RBC bank good enough? I want to avoid fees. Do not mind putting some money tho.
