Hi Guys, anybody knows if the online interview on Microsoft teams can be attended while being out of Canada or you nust be physically present in Canada? I'd very much appreciate if anybody has some solid information

What online interview would this be? Are you referring to the Citizenship Test?

I had my interview on Aprl 12th. On the invitation, it's clearly mentioned that you must be effectively present in Canada.
She even confirmed this with me and asked me to clearly say it.

Could you please share some detaisl....was it Montreal office? Was the interview after you passed the citizenship test? How did it go...like what exactly did they ask you about? I'm in the same situation and I'm a bit worried

Yes it was Montreal office
I passed the citizenship test in April 2022
It went fine. She asked me to show the original documents (Passeport, PR card, ID's and language results). She also asked some general uestions about work and travel history for me and all dependents.
3 days after, LPP went green and I got DM on ecas.

Yup, a simple application.
No FP request, only one trip outside Canada. I guess I was unlucky.
My timeline is in my signature.

were you the only one from the family application to require an interview?
I don't see any consistency in their processing...it's all over the place.
Hopefully you will have your oath date soon!

Yes, I was the only one to attend the interview, but I responded to questions about my wife and my son.

Applied in Feb 2022 online. Exam in Nov. All activities marked complete including Language, PP, Prohibitions in Jan. Scheduled for Oath in April 25th, 2023

They were kind enough to send an email at the last moment. TBH I was expecting this. Hope all this ends quickly. I am not able to login to the service portal though.
