Hey everyone, so I applied for a visitor visa to work without a permit under the Global Skills Strategy(GSS) program through the new IRCC portal. The timeline of my application is as follows:

Application Submitted: 21st February 2023
BIL Recieved: 22nd Februuary 2023
Biometrics submitted at VFS Kolkata: 27th February 2023
...
The biometrics submission got reflected on the IRCC portal on the same day as it was submitted and since then there have been no more updates. The processing time for visitor visas from India is currently being shown as 25 days and it is way past that already. I was wondering if all visitor visa applications from India through the new IRCC portal are delayed, since I have seen several people who applied through GCKey portal have timely received passport request letters. Could anyone give any idea of how much time applications from India through the new IRCC portal are taking to be processed?

Hi everyone, I am a PR, planning to travel India for my marriage. My plan is to get married and bring my spouse as soon as possible on visitor visa. Can someone suggest me what documents I should provide to create a strong application? I can prepare an invitation letter giving a reason for her to attend my sister.

Thank you! Yes it was a quick turnaround and tbh I wasn’t expecting it happen this fast.

- showed $16k for funds ( bank statement exceeding this amount)
- consistent in/out flows of amounts in bank statement - 6 months
- receipts and other related documents
Hello,
Is possible to know if you showed the $16K funds for main applicant's form only or for all 4 persons?
For example, did you show 4k for each person or you put 16k$ for all applicants?
Also, did you apply for all applicants in same group or different application for each?
Thanks!

New Portal IRCC
https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=en

The above link to the new New IRCC Portal is for reference.

I was planning to submit my Visa application on IRCC GKey Site, but was advised by my friend in Canada to use the new portal which are processing Visitor, Student & Employment Visa faster than the old system Gkey. Therefore, applied thru New portal and received with 15 days of submission.

Application Submitted - 19 Feb 2023
PPR - 2 March 2023
Stamped & Received on 8 March 2023

Thanks
I wish I had known about the new portal last week.
I applied for TRV for my family using GCkey.

To apply for a Canadian temporary resident visa for your spouse, you must provide a few documents to create a strong application. These documents include:

1. An invitation letter from you to your spouse outlining why they need to travel to Canada.
2. Proof of your relationship, such as marriage certificate, photographs or email/text conversations.
3. Proof of your financial capacity, such as a bank statement or letter from your employer.
4. Proof of accommodation, such as an invitation letter from a hotel or from a family member who can provide them with a place to stay.
5. An itinerary of their planned trip to Canada.
6. Proof of the applicant’s intention to leave Canada, such as a return ticket.
7. A valid passport.
8. Any other relevant documents, such as police certificates and medical examination results.
