I just received an email titled "IRCC confirmation portal". It says it's from Calgary. Is this for real? How does the real one look like?
Our application said "updated" today but there are no visible changes and tracker still shows eligibility and background not started.

Congrats, it's the email. I've just got it today too. If you check sender the email should end with
@cic.gc.ca and there should be a pdf from IRCC attached to it.

Yes, it does end with cic.gc.ca! I am outside and on my phone but I will check the attachment and links they sent when I get home.
I am surprised and in a positive shock, because I didn't expect it so soon.

Edit to my previous post: it is not super soon (AOR is 10 December), but I thought they didn't even start our eligibility or background check

Didn't notice any GUs. Today, they said the application was updated but everything was the same (is that a GU?) The application is still the same as it was after we passed medicals in January.
