I had done some research about this some time back because I have travel plans too.
TRV and permits get cancelled after you have finished the steps in portal and are waiting for delivery of PR card.

If you haven't done that yet and have just received your first email - you can explain to them that your are travelling currently and will like to do the portal steps once you are back. They will wait.

This is correct! When you receive the approval email, you are not a confirmed PR yet. So you can reply to them that you are outside of Canada and your expected arrival date is ABC. When you are back, send them an email with your airflight ticket of the day you are back, they will start processing your e-COPR!

My medical expiry shows feb 15 2023 I used old one from my work permit. Some got remedical when the expiry date showed jan 2022. So not sure if they will ask for remedical for me as well. Cannot really afford to spend another 900$ for medical for me my family

Mine was showing expiry of August 2022 (1 year) and I got a message for re-medical yesterday for myself and 3 dependents. Costed $830 in total. I think it is random, I saw most of the people got through with their old medical, but some of us are getting re-medical.

Yes, it should be the last stage. I received remedical request on March 4, the same day my eligibility/background was completed. Passed remedical on March 12 and got my approval today March 24.

Same here. They are said 7-10 working days.

I do not have access to GCkey, it is with the Consultant, I only checked it via Tracker. I hope it gets updated today.
