I always celebrate ppl's wins as I am mostly a positive guy. But currently I am feeling low and sorry to say but feeling little bad and little jealous that I still don't have PR
I'm a little upset but not jealous. canada p.r is too petty to be jealous about. I'm in the same boat as you, but hey look on the bright side of life.

all hours will be counted
I would add the following for clarity:
  • if you worked more than one eligible NOC, you may combine the hours to achieve the needed 1560 hours minimum
  • however, you must also have worked for at least 1 year, and you can count up to 3 years of hours to reach the 1560
The confusion of 'only counting 30 hours/week' comes from the minimum 1 year requirement. For example, if you worked 40 hours per week for 40 weeks, you will have achieved 1600 hours which is more than 1560, BUT it is not worked over a full year, so they will only count 30 hours of the 40 weeks worked, which is 1200 hours. Why are they counting only 30 hours/week? Because it is a simple way to ensure that you have worked a minimum of 1560 hours over at least one year (52 weeks x 30 hours/week = 1560 hours). So, although they will discount hours over 1560 if worked over less than one year, they will allow you to add more hours to reach the minimum 1560 hours from eligible work done in any of the two earlier years.

I believe some officers have been stricter than others on this matter so if you are close to the right numbers, there may not be an issue.

Best wishes!

hi folks, still on the struggle train waiting to hear about my PR. i received two requests for my schedule A exactly one week from each other requesting clarification for the same period of time. i am not sure why they sent me two requests but confusing nonetheless. i submitted both and then 15 ish days later (so earlier this week) i received request to submit my document for current status in canada. which kind of freaked me out because i saw in my gcms notes that they know i am currently under implied status and have applied for my renewal. nonetheless, i submitted a letter outlining that i am awaiting renewal along with the old permit and the confirmation of submission for my renewal. but the weird part is that unlike every other time i did not receive confirmation that they have received my upload. it just says file has been uploaded. but it doesn't say received like it did every other time when i uploaded the ADRs. did anyone experience anything similar? i dont even know if they are refusing anybody but still physically ill over this whole saga.

Don't worry, the good news is that someone is working on your file!

I was under maintained/implied status when I applied, and about one year into processing TR to PR, I finally got my Study permit renewal (which took 2.5 years to process). There should be no issue with your maintained/implied status -- it is a legitimate status.

Regarding your uploaded documents, did you remember to click "submit" after you uploaded your documents? Just checking.

Best wishes.

Hi, I have a question. I received the PR portal to upload my photo but the issue is I am in the USA and returning back Middle May. I got another email saying i should inform them when i arrive in Canada for the Pr to be issued, this is because I told them i was out of Canada. So my question is should i still accept I am in Canada and add the photo and submit or just stop with that part and complete when i come back to Canada?
@CherAmie
It may be possible to do it from US, but I wouldn't risk it and it's easy enough to just follow the rules -- wait til you're back in Canada.
Best wishes.

yep i checked a few times, there isnt space for me to upload or submit anything anymore. i have made that mistake before where i didnt know i had to press continue questionnaire lol. on the application updates page it says the file has been uploaded. i just found it weird to have received the request in the first place since as part of my eligibility notes they had included details of my status. there are still parts of the notes i dont understand but i see eligibility as passed so i am trying not to overthink it. i think there was a ghost update on my renewal application because two days after uploading the ADR to my PR application, i received an email about the renewal application but nothing had changed from before.

Hi

I submitted my PR application under TR to PR essential non-healthcare stream B on June 12th, 2021, while I was on PGWP
AOR received in Feb 18th 2022, ADR requested in Feb 19th 2022
Biometrics completed on Feb 22nd, 2022,
ADR on December 2nd, 2022,
GCMS notes requested in June 2022 and received in December 2022, stated Criminality, security not started, and eligibility in the process.
While waiting for my PR, I submitted BOWP as my PGWP was expiring in Feb 2023. I received a refusal of OWP on Feb 22nd, 2023 due to non-payment of fees, I immediately stopped working and applied for restoration on status and owp on Feb 23rd through a consultant as didn't want to make any further mistakes. I called IRCC the agent mentioned one needs to stop working and nowhere is mentioned they need to quit the job.
I haven't quit my job and am currently on unpaid leave.
In between, I have numerous time sought assistance from local MP and called IRCC the above three is still in process.
Another GCMS request was submitted in March 2023.
The new announcement by IRCC on March 17th, 2023, one can apply for OWP if their PGWP expired, I am unsure if I can apply for this as I applied for restoration already.

Hi all! Yesterday, I received a message on my IRCC account informing me that my PR Card was sent on March 18th. Do you guys know how long it will take until I receive it? It was processed at the OSC - Operations Office in Ottawa - I live in Montreal. I will travel out of Canada on April 5th.
