Hi all!
So excited to finally apply for citizenship!
App Type: Online Application
Application : Single
Location: Vancouver
Physical Presence Days: 1,101 Days
App Sent Date : Mar 15, 2023
App Delivered Date: Mar 15, 2023
AOR:
My spouse was on visitor visa and through inland spousal application, she got open work permit first and then eventually PR.
So from the time of arrival to Canada, until she got a PR, will it be treated as a visitor Visa? or when she gets open work permit, it is called something else?
Question, when your spouse entered Canada, did she show a return ticket to the Immigration officer indicating that she will the country? Or is it okay to tell the Immigration officer that the spouse will be applying for the Inland Spousal Sponsorship upon landing in Canada and she didn't book a return ticket due to this reason?
Also, could you please share the timelines for the work permit and the PR, and from which city did you apply for both?
Would appreciate it if you could spare some time to answer these questions. Thanks in advance!!
Today our application was returned for not attaching the two identification documents. My app was delivered to IRCC on Jan 6th and we lost more than 2 months because of this nonsense, its ridiculous.
My question is, can I just attach the 2nd identification doc and send the application back to IRCC without changing the forms, physical presence doc etc?
Also, I was wondering that I and my wife now apply online and mail our son's (minor) app to IRCC, is that possible?
I am thinking to do this just to cover some time.

Short answer: Yes you can (depending on the instructions with your returned app). However I would recommend you review every single checkbox/date and documents for every single application unless they deemed it as complete. I had my application returned twice: Once for the same reason and the second time was due to incorrectly checking a box for representative on one of the applications.
