My PR expires in august this year and I was hoping to have the passport by then but seems like I should apply for my PR renewal then?

Do note that there is a no fly period between your oath and the new passport for which the new PR card won’t help as you would need to destroy the same during the oath ceremony. Only if you have travel planned after August and you are certain oath will not have before this travel date getting a new PR card matters. Else it’s a waiting game.

this is a paper based application , filed along with spouse and a kid.
Spouse: Test was done and "awaiting for oath" was updated on Aug 26,2022, nothing after that.
For Kid : Prohibition was updated , nothing else.

The email came today March 15, 2023. The tracker update was on March 13, 2023 but showed today March 15, 2023. Really excited that the Oath invite came so fast after the Language, Prohibitions, and Physical Presence got updated right after the Interview on the same day.

not really. A bunch of us from April are waiting for our LPP to be completed while those in May and June are ready for oath/done with oath. IRCC is inconsistent and largely all over the place. What helps is meditating. I meditate, breathe in and out, and then mutter, "Eff IRCC" under my breath. Helps me get through the day.

@rammy You can use the webform and send IRCC an update, you can optionally provide the marriage certificate also. I did that in August 2022 (I had applied for citizenship in April 2022), got a response from them saying they have updated the file.

Thank you! Did you marry a nonCanadian? Asking because I did and wondering if updating marriage status in IRCC assists in sponsoring a nonCanadian spouse?

Update: I tried calling IRCC multiple times but no luck! never connected me with an agent as it kept saying similar to "we are experiencing high volume of call and unavailable to answer your call." I gave up and submitted webform

Was there anything wrong with your application that you needed to check from the ATIP notes? IRCC has been receiving a lot of ATIP requests that they have just quit sending them out anymore. Your application was sent in May and even by pre-pandemic timelines you are within the 12-month processing standards. After the language, prohibition, and physical presence are marked complete you should expect the oath invite.
