Timeline for Visit Visa for 5 application ( Family group) on new IRCC portal from Saudi Arabia.

Application date: 19 Feb 2023
Biometrics Letter Request: 19 Feb 2023
Biometrics submitted: 23 Feb 2023
Biometrics update on IRCC portal: 26 Feb 2023
Biometric Validity letter : 2 Mar 2023
Original passport request: 3 Mar 2023

Passport submitted for stamping: 5 Mar 2023 via VFS
Passports received after stamping: 9 Mar 2023

Can I apply for 6 months or supervisa from Canada on behalf of my parents living in India?
My parents have medical conditions and won’t be able to work by themselves or by using a local representativ.
Any Experts, please advice?

You can apply on their behalf. Better don't use consultants as applying to any Canadian visa is very easy.

I applied from the new portal. Not sure what diff it makes from applying via GC Portal. Also, there is a belief that Super visa approval is more guaranteed than visitor visa approval.

Visitor Visa Application for 3 applicants (my parents + younger sibling) through GCKey:
Feb 17 - Submitted Application
Feb 17 - Received BIL
Feb 23 - Completed Biometrics
Feb 23 - Background check started, eligibility still in progress
Mar 12 - Visa application Refused

Despite providing all the necessary documentations, property ownership, invitation letter, employment letter, etc.. the application was declined, and the reasons were:

1. Strong family ties to Canada
2. having limited employment possibilities in home country.

I would like to point out that my parents worked/are still working for the local government for more than 25 years and my mom is a director of accounting. It is quite disappointing that their visa application has been denied. We had a very strong case, in my opinion.

I sent a reconsideration request to the appropriate visa office today, hoping to hear back from them soon. I asked them to allow my parents and leave my dependant brother's application as-is so there's a strong home country tie for my parents.

Its very strange given your parents are employed that too with gov jobs. May be first apply for your parents alone and wait for sometime to apply your brother's. Because having all three applications makes it look like your entire family is coming to Canada. Also, is your brother age below 18?

Yeah I got on Saturday morning 11th March

Parents visa got approved.
Timeline below:
Feb 21: Submitted the application for Parents.
Feb 22: Biometrics request.
Feb 28: Biometrics completed and got updated same day.
March 10: Passport request.
COR: India.
No history of foreign travel.
Surprised at the timeline.

Any of you got TRV approved in in 2023? I applied for my in-laws in Jan and Mar, both applications rejected with the reason that 'I'm not satisfied you will leave Canada at the end of your stay' and Insufficient funds. Too frustrated right now.
