I logged into the ECAS tracker and it showed UPDATED : FEBRUARY 28, 2023 on the top of page but in the DETAILS OF YOUR APPLICATION STATUS and APPLICATION HISTORY sections, there was no change.

You mentioned you haven't received ghost updates by E-mail by yet you mention you got ghost updates, wondering how do you know or where do you see them if you don't get E-mails?

does everyone need finger printing? whats the next step after AOR?
The finger printing done for IRCC every ten years is used for identity verification at the border by CBSA. It has nothing to do with the fingerprinting for Citizenship application to clear your Background check. You may be selected for a finger print if RCMP are unable to verify your criminal record with just your name, dob, and place of birth. Sometimes, you might be selected for Programme integrity/assurance reasons... If your Background check is already complete, you'll not need to submit finger prints

Question: if you traveled to US ( after ) you applied for citizenship do you need to inform IRCC about that ?

Question: if you traveled to US ( after ) you applied for citizenship do you need to inform IRCC about that ?
If you are going for a short trip, no need to inform. The official guidance by IRCC is anything longer than 2 weeks, you'll need to let them know. However, if you do, it may slow down your processing until you return...

See here:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/after-apply-next-steps.html

While we process your application, contact us if any information on your application changes or if you

  • change your address
  • plan to leave Canada for more than 2 weeks in a row
  • can’t check your application status online and the normal processing time for your application has passed
  • are charged with a crime
  • applied as part of a group, but now want to continue the application by yourself
Due to privacy laws, we can’t give information about your application to anyone unless you consent in writing. For example, if you have difficulty communicating in English or French, you need to provide consent for a family member to contact us about your application.

You will get to see at the top of you citizenship file as updated date. Basically when u login the updated date changes with few stars on your file saying you have new updates but nothing changes
