we appli
I can see by your name that you applied July 16. There is a possibility that you could receive PR in the next month or two, however, you have other options as well:
  • apply for TRV so that he can wait in Canada while processing completes
  • apply for "OWP under TR to PR" which is also available for outland spouses
  • or both -- the TRV may get processed more quickly but that's a guess
Read this on IRCC's website:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/special-initiatives-pilot-project/tr-pr-pathway.html

And these are the guidelines, read them carefully all the way through a several times:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/tr-pr-pathway/open-work-permit.html

The guidelines for 'OWP under TR to PR' are slightly different from a regular 'OWP' application, so read the details carefully. The 'OWP under TR to PR' guidelines will tell you to put certain answers into boxes that don't necessarily make sense but follow them anyway. Only follow the general OWP guidelines when the OWP under TR to PR guidelines do not tell you to do something else.

Best wishes!
applied owp under tr to pr(dated july 2022) mine got approved in oct 2022, his got refused because i am no longer in noc a b or 0.

This is my 2nd follow up with my MP's office. This part of the feedback was disheartening:

Currently, there are no processing times for us to follow, for TR-PR applications. The TR-PR applications were limited-time applications that people could apply for. Because these are not ordinary applications, processing times cannot be provided, as there is no previous history of average processing times for these types of applications.

- Because there are no processing times, we need to give the officer more time to work on the application.

It is completely normal for TR-PR applications to take this amount of time, and even longer, as these applications unfortunately do not have processing times that can be followed. They are considered as non-urgent applications. Nonetheless, your application is in great hands and no additional documents are needed from you, at this time.

Non-urgent applications? :mad::mad::mad:

Now we know what they think of us, just the less important ones :rolleyes:. At least they're shameless enough to admit it.

I have accepted that mayb my date will be in 2024....its better than nothing. Eventually everyone in this boat will disembark with PR. No matter how long it takes.
