people get approved with very less amounts of funds in accounts too
so it all depends where u r applying from
Applicant is from Pakistan. I'm applying on his behalf. Applicant would like to visit his son/daughter in law to celebrate birth of their child. I'm not sure whether I should also attach bank statements from son and his wife. Also, would it be better to choose ''visit Canada as a tourist'' or visit non-dépendant child? Thanks!
Hi
my in-laws just got an update in the profile which says Client Application summary, what does that mean?
Does it impact the timeline?
Thank you in advance.

visit non dependent child, as parents need to fill in details of their children's whereabouts in the application form so u can't hide that point from IRCC
bank statements of applicants is a must, showing enough funds to cover their own expenses and not using all of their savings on the trip as well
bank statements and job letter/salary slips/tax returns of son/daughter in law are secondary proof of funds
however there is no harm in attaching those if they have good bank statements and stable jobs
keep the stay short 2-3 weeks and show enough ties back home to satisfy visa officer that ur clients will return back to Pakistan after the visit is over
do not mention anything relating to helping the new parents in child care coz this leads to refusal automatically
purpose of visit should be strong enough
Good luck

it's just a pdf of the application data u submit for ur record
it is a system generated document and has no impact on anything
Those who applied for your elderly parents or parents in law from the new portal, could you please advise as to whether you created an account in their name with their email address or did you use your email address and act as their representative? What is the procedure?

Good day everyone,
Sorry for my English I speak French
I applied for my mom a visitor visa in the new portal but IRCC didn’t ask for invitation letter or proof of funds.
They only asked for copy of passport and national ID.
Did someone has the same issue?
Appied on February 5th
BIL same day
Biometrics done on February 7th

iRCC portal doesn't ask for invitation letter
u can upload it in other documents section
if applicants hold valid US visa the portal doesn't ask for proof of funds either
similarly the same could be uploaded in other documents section as well

She had a previous Canada visa expired in 2018
She had a previous Canada visa expired in 2018
I think those cases are viewed as CAN+ and require lesser documents
I am not 100% sure though
Hello,
I'm completing a sibling's visitor visa application and her 2 kids. For the sibling purpose of visit I chose ''visit a sibling''. For the 2 children I chose ''visit other family member who are not listed above or to visit friends for less than 6 months'' The stay will be 2 weeks.
For the 2 children it's asking for a specific invitation letter with specific criteria and digital photo of the applicant.
For the sibling it didn't have a specific invitation letter option. I will upload anyways in the additional document option, but I don't understand why is the option for the kids with the specific criteria asking for the following:
A copy of the letter from the person or business inviting you to Canada. The letter, known as a letter of invitation, must be written to you from the person or business.
What the letter of invitation should state depends what you apply for exactly. For instance, if you apply for a super visa rather than a visitor visa, there are a few more details that you'll need to provide in the letter. You must also provide:
- a written and signed promise of your financial support for your parents or grandparents for their entire stay in Canada, and
- proof that your income meets or is above the low-income cut-off (LICO) for the total number of people, including the visiting parents or grandparents.
Generally, a letter of invitation should state
- the purpose and length of your visit
- the nature of the relationship between you and the person inviting you
- the contact information of the person inviting you, and whether they are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
If you are invited to conduct business in Canada, a letter of invitation should be printed on the company's letterhead.
I chose the option of visitor visa and to visit other relative ( maternal uncle since no option of uncle )
Feedback appreciated. Thanks!
