My understanding is that it is part of the overall Background Check which includes Info Sharing, Security & Criminality among other things. For example, if it shows you in another country for over 6 months after the age of 18, and you did not provide a PCC from that country, you could get an ADR requesting a PCC from that country. It's also why they do not want any gaps in your history because they want to make sure that they check everything they are required to.

Guys I am feeling discriminated, agitated, annoyed and wishes to lodge a complaint against IRCC. So the thing is:-
CASE 1. Back 3 years, I only received visa and study permit for 1 year but in fact my study was of two years and that also from a reputable college with 95% marks in 12th and 7778 bands. I Literally spent like 900 dollars on its extension. Why it happened to me?
CASE 2: My every friend who applied TRV received Visa till expiration of their passport i.e. for approx. 8 years but I only received my TRV valid until my PGWP expires. Its not like my documents were near expiry. So why it happened to me?
Are they having a red flag in my file trying to restrict me or what. Please advise

This isn't the correct forum for your query. I'll still try to help with my limited knowledge.
I have no idea about the first case but in the second one, I got a TRV till the expiration of my passport ("visitor visa") because I wasn't working at the time of application. Everyone I know got a TRV till the expiration of their PGWP ("worker visa") because they were working when they applied. I'm guessing that's probably your situation as well.
If IRCC's intention really was to "restrict" you, they would've denied you a visa in the first place (as they do with so many every year). They wouldn't do it step-by-step.
Hello guys,
I applied on May 6th,2021 under the IG stream and I applied for my spouse as well.
Received the AOR on March 22nd,2022.
Looking at the trend it seems like they are working on June and July.
I don’t know what to do at this point cz calling IRCC isn’t working for me and I raised webforms as well but received the same generic reply.
I contacted the local MP as well and I was just told that we will look into it; haven’t heard back from them either.
Anyone applied for themselves and their spouse and received PR confirmation?
I just want to hold on to the hope that we will hear some positive news soon.
