I wanted to ask if the photo specifications for OCI and Surrender Certificate applications are the same? I'm asking because I might use the SC photos for OCI application as that can save me some money by not going to the photographer again.

Hello everyone.

I submitted the OCI application for my daughter on Dec 20, 2022 - walk-in method.
From there until now the BLS website is showing processings at consulate.
I haven’t received got back my daughters original birth certificate back yet.
Need your expertise on the below
When can I receive her birth certificate
Any other link where I can check where my application is and what is the status.
I see people who submitted their application on Dec 15 received their OCI or status as printing.
Not sure where my daughters application is

Any inputs/ guidancewill be helpful and appreciated

We submitted our application at BLS Brampton on Dec 28. Original Indian passport for all 4 was asked to be submitted and they mentioned they will deliver the Indian passports by purolator. Haven’t received the passport yet and the OCI status query atm shows no records found
Try checking purolator website and enter OCI application number to search i

I don't think anyone who submitted on 15-Dec got OCI or status as printed? Can you please give an example of anyone? It usually takes around 6 weeks for status to be printed.

Thank you for sharing the link. I checked the status and it says No records found. This is more concerning now. its been 25 days i submitted the application and it is still not reflecting in their website. Is it normal or should i take any actions? If yes, please advice

What does the status page on BLS say? It won’t show on ociservices website until BLS status is processing at consulate general

The status in BLS website is "Processing at Consulate General "

Thank you for sharing the link. I checked the status and it says No records found. This is more concerning now. its been 25 days i submitted the application and it is still not reflecting in their website. Is it normal or should i take any actions? If yes, please advice

Considering the Christmas and New Yr long weekends dates might have shifted by a few days. Hopefully during this week you can expect an update on the OCI website

I have observed it take about 3-4 weeks to get a date of acknowledgment from the date you submit at BLS

2 to 5 days more. Next status is BLS counters delivery after oci stamping. They will then send you by courier.
