Okie folks, finally Background Verification is complete but it says Jan 6 and the online account says that the account was updated on Jan 10, 2023! What will be the next step?

I have a question. Is it the case that only after you get a test invite, we will find out which local office the file is being processed in?

mine showed up in 6 days GU1 was Dec 16 then GU2 was Jan 5 and finally the tracker showed BG verification complete on Jan 10 However the date was Jan 6 on the online account.

Test Invite is an easy way. Hard way is to call IRCC or get GCMS notes.

Test email address has the office info. Like SCR for Scarborough, West for Vancouver etc.

a very basic qn - why is everyone talking about / interested in the office that's processing their file?! are some better / faster than the rest? given that processing files is what they all do, wouldn't IRCC any way distribute files so all have equal load?

MTL is used for Montreal. Not sure what Cen is. Can you post the full email address.

Yes some office process application within 6 months and some take more than a year. Your location also plays a role. So it's not like every office works the same way.

That would be Montreal Central IRCC

MTL is used for Montreal. Not sure what Cen is. Can you post the full email address.

I'm in New Brunswick so I guess that makes sense.

Question to all of those who got test invite, did you see the online tracker going to "processing" from "not started" a few days prior to test invite or it went straight to show the test window? Freaking out waiting for test over here thanks!
