I got acknowledgment on 24 th of November, still application under processing. Did you get any update?

Did you get any updates. My acknowledgement is also Nov 24th

I submitted mine on 18th too and could see it on the OCI portal since last week (8 Dec).

Is the application reference number the same one we use on the bls website? Yeah I was expecting to see some update, but now it is 4 weeks and it says no record.

wow... OCI applications go all the way to MEA, New Delhi?? Is it electronically transferred or physically? How can it be sent from New Delhi and received in Toronto on the same day?

They need to be approved by MEA all checks probably take 3 weeks once CGI inn Canada receive approval thry get printed locally at the consulate see the stamp of the respective consular general on your OCI booklet.

Try using a computer and not your mobile browser enter your passport # and CANT file # and the proper captcha ( my wife couldn’t see it either I tried on my windows lap top and was able to.

It still wasnt working. I tried couple more times and then suddenly I got it. Looks like it just got updated a minute ago. Thank you

In your case it doesnt matter.....but...Marriage certificate is only needed in case you are applying for OCI through spouse. Else it is not needed.

Also, professional letter. / employment proof...apparently is needed only when you are in military service.....

I had taken both though and both were returned to me,

Take the surrender certificate as well.

Application form ---i took the entire set, but the instruction pages were returned to me....

Rest all is good....btw....you didnt mention checklist, please take that as wel.

I applied on Dec 6th...walkin in Brampton----so my next steps.. based on what i see in this thread....relaxuntil Dec 27th or so....for an OCI acknowledgement in the OCI services webseite and then track status around JAn 18th / 20th .....for further updates and then wait for BLS to advise the next steps....Is that a fair summary?

Anyone with a postal application which was updated to "Processing at Consulate General" on 26-Nov-2022 and have received a Acknowledgement on the OCI Website.

Hi, I submitted a postal application - Date of Application on BLS: 28 Nov, still BLS shows 'Processing at Consulate General'. However, my application is shown in OCI site with Date of Acknowledgement : 15-Dec.

Hello Everyone,
Below are the timelines of my daughter's OCI application:
Date of Application in BLS site: 28-Nov,
Date of Acknowledgement in OCI site: 15-Dec.

My travel date is 4-Feb. Would like to know the below:

1. Possibility of the OCI not arriving on time,
2. Can I apply for Visitor Visa when the OCI is under process?
3. By when would the originals be returned?
