What does portal invite mean? We are at the same stage - COPR number shown on tracker and all items completed but no update on GC key. Also, my spouse's account is already linked to GcKey. Please advise. Thanks!

Portal invite means an email from IRCC to confirm your contact details. Once your reply, you will receive a link to "land" online via the portal, after which the e-COPR will be emailed to you.
It seems to me that so far no August applicant has received this invite, despite many having the COPR info showing on the tracker.

I know a couple August inland applicants who got the portal invite!

Yeah I've seen quite a few people who started seeing COPR details at the end of September/early October (not just August applicants) who are still waiting.

It does seem like IRCC likes to send things in waves though, so I wouldn't be surprised if they all get portal invites at once lol.

It seems like it's increasingly normal for online applicants to not get an AOR and to just skip to biometrics and medical, for whatever reason.

My SA just says your application will be forwarded to visa office. No mention of which office.
