Seriously hope IRCC is going to provide me the courtesy of giving me my medical request within the next few days. My nearest centre is 3 hours away in non-winter weather. Don't want to be driving in snowstorms for this....

I should have provided it upfront!!!

I hear you, but without knowing when they will pick up our file, there was no way other than to wait for the medical request. Is there any indication as to which VO is processing your case? My ADR war from Edmonton, so I guess that's where I am being processed.

Nope and I don't want to call IRCC just to find out, but when I get my portal or an ADR I'll certainly let everyone know the office.

@moscatojuices You can do upfront medical and submit it through webform. There is no certain timeline when they will issue the request for medical. Could take forever. But if you do upfront, it might faster your processing.

Thank you for your suggestion.

If I'm not mistaken, if I do a "mid-process Medical" (after AR but before MR), then IRCC will take 6-12 weeks to add the results to my file, whereas waiting for an MR would allow the clinic to upload it directly to my account.

Correct? If so, I feel the risk is too high in doing a mid-process medical.

Well they usually search through their system before sending medical requests. If you already have done medicine you won’t get medical request and it will directly update to Gckey as medical pass. Also there is no certain indication that you would get medical request right away after PAL. One more thing if medical is only good for one year.

You're saying if I do a medical now without the request letter, the clinic would directly link it to my UCI?

The reason I'm opting to wait is there is someone else who applied at the same time as me (8 Mar 2022) and our PAL/AOR times are within 30 days of each other, so that's why I'm expecting it to come through shortly but I'm definitely open and thankful for your suggestion.
