I put the front and back of the photo on a white sheet paper I scanned them and I uploaded them in PDF format, Is this right ?

Apply to extend her visitor status from within Canada to keep her status legal.

You can apply to extend exactly 30 days before it expires usually.. and the current processing time to extend can bvi checked online... for normal visitor visas, I believe they are taking 120 days plus...so atleast until then, she will remain under "implied status" so legal...if that helps buy time.
