Hi guys, just trying to clarify a trend I saw here.
Does it mean that anyone who applied for Tr-pr (IG) stream with a one year program gets a rejection?
I applied may 7th 2021 and got my AOR April 5th and ADR April 7th which was submitted on the same day. Haven’t heard back since then.
Called ircc a couple of time, and they keep saying my file is in progress. Please answers will be much appreciated. Thank you
Have you checked if eligibility passed on your profile? Every case is different. My advice is to immediately request for CBSA/IRCC notes. It will take about 45 days to get one but if there is a problem it will show and it is more detailed. I have noticed calling IRCC will just say file in progress wait. However as long as eligibility is passed you are on good track.
I think you also need to consult lawyer on options if the dip/cert doesn't meet below criteria for international graduate stream and if eligibility not passed

Intl grad stream Ref: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/tr-pr-pathway/who-can-apply.html
  • a degree (Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate) with a program length of at least 8 months
  • a degree, diploma, certificate or attestation leading to a job from the list of eligible trade occupations
  • a diploma, certificate or attestation for a program that was at least 2 years (16 months) in length
  • two or more diplomas, certificates or attestations where each program was at least 8 months in length
  • a diploma of vocational studies (DVS) or an attestation of vocational specialization (AVS) where each program was at least 1,800 hours in length
    • two or more DVS or AVS where each program was at least 900 hours in length
It depends on case. Most accelerated masters will qualify because they are >8months

If you applied to the essential non health or health program, the dip/cert length doesn't matter because it was not a requirement
Hope this helps

Called IRCC this morning. The customer service representative said eligibility and security hasn’t started yet. Criminality is under process. I suppose it’s going to be a long wait. She also said that I can’t accept portal request while I am away from Canada. The representative was decent. However, whole immigration system is fucked up and policy makers are thieves and money grabbers. They want the money coming in to the system without delivering a reliable, consistent, and transparent customer service. Well they are absolutely consistent in one thing: incompetency. Everyone will get their PR nonetheless at the cost of their mental health. ;)

Not all one year programs are accepted. But this does not mean all one year programs are not eligible. I completed a one year masters degree and my eligibility is passed. As far as I remember one year program to be eligible has one condition. The admission to that program should require a bachelors degree as condition of admission. I supplied my WES for my previous education as well as my program required a a bachelors degree. there were more conditions on programs as well, you should double check as I have faint memory of all details.

So in short: Not all one year programs are ineligible.

I have a question everyone! What if we have received the work permit under TR to PR category until Dec, 2024 and than IRCC refuses the application under TR to PR, what happens to the work permit? Will the work permit be still valid until Dec, 2024 or will it be cancelled? due to rejection for PR application?
Anybody, please help me with this question.

Yes it will be still valid as it’s a legal document of which you’ve a physical copy

Just called IRCC and got told this:

Eligibility: Not started
Criminality: In progress
Info sharing: In progress

Security: Not started

So, what are we thinking here? Another 6-8 months?

I Just Received my GCMS notes for the third time i guess, and Since May 2022 they have not touched my life. When i read my May GCMS and the once I received today no difference at all. Literally no difference.
I was thinking to apply for Express Entry but that’s another story 17 months of waiting. This is just reckless. I have no faith in anyone anymore

We’re stuck here, hardly anything we can do except wait. I’m beyond frustrated as well and I don’t see myself getting PR before June/July 2023.
